The metaverse has revolutionised how the new generation interacts with brands, merging social experiences with online shopping and offering personalised, immersive engagements that resonate with their digital-native lifestyles. In this dynamic landscape, Senco Gold’s Everlite Virtual Store stands out as an innovative metaverse experience designed specifically for a younger audience to elevate their shopping experience.

Design brief

Senco Gold is stepping into the future with its Everlite Virtual Store, designed to engage the tech-savvy younger audience (ages 16-25) by merging traditional luxury with the immersive world of the metaverse. The store offers a sleek, futuristic 3D environment where users can explore carefully curated collections of jewellery, all while interacting with stunning 3D models of the pieces. The shopping experience is made fun and engaging through playful features like a treasure hunt, where users embark on quests to discover hidden jewellery, earning NFT rewards that tie into an innovative loyalty program.

Balancing Design and Usability: Creating a visually stunning 3D virtual store that is also easy to navigate across devices poses a great challenge.


Cross-Platform Optimisation: Ensuring smooth functionality on various devices—smartphones, and desktops requires careful design decisions. The UI must adapt seamlessly to provide a consistent experience without sacrificing performance.


Integrating Gamification: The UX needs to foster engagement while keeping the interface straightforward for users focused on browsing and purchasing.

AN Overview of how EverLITE WORKS

There are two major experiences for users at Senco Virtual Store:


Virtual Shopping Experience: Users can explore a realistic, interactive virtual store, walking through different sections, browsing jewellery, and even trying on pieces on their avatars.


Treasure Hunt Experience: In this adventure, users search for missing jewellery within the virtual environment. Finding the hidden treasure unlocks exciting coupons and rewards, which can further be minted as NFTs for added value and uniqueness.

IDEATION

DESIGN INSPIRATION

The mood board was crafted to appeal to young, tech-savvy individuals drawn to innovative shopping experiences. Using it as a guide, I defined the color palette, UI styles, and visual elements to align with this audience's preferences.

STYLE GUIDE

The Senco virtual jewellery store’s design blends luxury with a modern, tech-savvy appeal through elegant typography, vibrant colours, and 3D elements. The serif Yeseva One font offers a Sophisticated feel, while Noto Sans ensures readability and modernity for body text and buttons. A bold palette of purples and pinks attracts younger audiences, with intuitive feedback through success (green) and error (red) states. The inclusion of 3D icons, virtual try-ons, and chatbot interactions enhances user engagement, catering to a tech-savvy generation that values personalised, interactive, and seamless online shopping experiences.

Design Decisions

FINAL OUTCOME

USER ONBIARDING

The Senco virtual store login process prioritises convenience and accessibility by offering phone number and guest login options. Phone login ensures quick, secure access and enables personalised marketing, while guest login removes barriers for faster, hassle-free shopping.


After completing the login process, users have the option to choose an avatar of their choice, adding a layer of personalisation to their experience. This feature allows users to visually represent themselves within the platform, making their interactions feel more engaging, creating an immersive experience.


GENERAL USER Information

The homepage contains information button that provides clear instructions on navigating the store, participating in the Treasure Hunt, and claiming rewards. The guide simplifies the shopping experience, showing users how to explore the virtual environment and engage in the Treasure Hunt to unlock exclusive offers and prizes. It also explains the reward redemption process, ensuring users can easily enjoy the benefits they’ve earned, making their time in the store both fun and rewarding.

TREASURE HUNT AND REWARDS

In the virtual store, users will encounter empty silhouettes of jewelry that they need to identify. Once identified, they can earn treasures that unlock various exciting rewards.


Additionally, there will be an in-game wallet where users can store their discount coupons and purchase details as NFTs. These NFTs will be minted on the Polygon blockchain, and a customer loyalty program will be integrated into the ecosystem based on each user's NFT collection.

MY CART

From the homepage, users can easily access their cart. Upon clicking the "My Cart" button, they will see a list of items added to their cart. Users can view an expanded detail of each item by clicking "View More" on the item card, which provides various information, including product descriptions, discounts, and the certificate of authenticity.

SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

While exploring the virtual store, users can enlarge the jewellery display for a detailed, zoomed-in 3D view, complete with specifications and pricing information. They can rotate the piece for a full 360-degree view, allowing them to examine it from every angle. By clicking the "Virtual Try-On" button, users can upload their own picture to see how the jewellery looks on them, offering a personalised and immersive shopping experience.


From the specifications panel, users can easily add their chosen jewellery to the cart or select "Buy Now," which will seamlessly redirect them to the main Senco store for checkout.

AURO THE BOT

Upon entering the virtual store, users are greeted by Aura, an interactive bot that serves as a personal guide. Aura walks users through the entire store environment, providing helpful explanations about the shopping experience and offering tips on how to participate in the Treasure Hunt. For added convenience, users can summon Aura at any time by simply pressing the 'E' key on their keyboard whenever they need assistance or guidance.
